Club Deportivo Aguila's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emiliano Rivera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 12th minute, Efrain Rivera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorino Granados took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Rivera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorino Granados came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Crewe's Efrain Rivera. But to his dismay, Efrain Rivera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Benjamín Guzman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Anaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Victorino Granados showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amilcar Rojas in the 26th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Aguila's Januario Alfaro got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 32nd minute Cristian Ochoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Granados saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamín Guzman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Anaya in the 35th minute of play. Benjamín Guzman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Anaya in the 37th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Emiliano Rivera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Granados saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Cristian Ochoa made the kick off in the second half. Club Deportivo Aguila's attentive Januario Alfaro managed to snatch the ball when Jhalmar Salguero made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. 58 minutes into the match, Salvador Anaya notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Crewe's Benjamín Guzman. Benjamín Guzman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Club Deportivo Aguila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Cerna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Salvador Anaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo Aguila's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Anaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamín Guzman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronald Costas made in the 95th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cristian Ochoa. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
