David Pimentel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 14th playminute. Géza Kocsis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oswaldo Lima in the 21st minute. 25 minutes into the match, Oswaldo Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Géza Kocsis. GALENA-NORTH's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oswaldo Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 30 minutes into the game, Maitros FC's David Pimentel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Géza Kocsis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 33rd minute, Alvaro Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the game, Baltazar Bentos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Alvaro Baptista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. GALENA-NORTH's Géza Kocsis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save GALENA-NORTH from getting a goal against them. After 43 played minutes GALENA-NORTH got a freekick which was hit by Marcu Ciupe. After 46 minutes, Orlando Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GALENA-NORTH and the Maitros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Maitros FC booed when GALENA-NORTH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baltazar Bentos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Omar Ourente kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Erick Palencia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GALENA-NORTH's Géza Kocsis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Géza Kocsis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Mendez in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erick Palencia in the 66th minute of play forced GALENA-NORTH's goalkeeper Géza Kocsis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
