With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Pimentel in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Canales saved West Bromwich from getting behind. 39 minutes into the match, David Pimentel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diego Canales. West Bromwich's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Pimentel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronald Díaz in the 62nd minute of play forced Maitros FC's goalkeeper Alvaro Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute, Waldir Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
