The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. mexicali's Celedonio Calisto got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnaldo Naike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11thth minute of the game Humberto Mambru who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meseta AFC's Paolo Dolcet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Meseta AFC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Clemente Gurutz hit a great ball. Arnaldo Naike might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paolo Dolcet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnaldo Naike ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience was convinced that Arnaldo Naike's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paolo Dolcet was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. When mexicali's Roberto Mechain in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Meseta AFC's Paolo Dolcet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Mechain in the 41st minute of play. Paolo Dolcet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Naike in the 43rd minute of play. Paolo Dolcet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celedonio Calisto, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When Celedonio Calisto fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored mexicali's protests and gave Celedonio Calisto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to mexicali getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Celedonio Calisto hit a great ball. The Meseta AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. mexicali were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clemente Gurutz to make the kick off. Paolo Dolcet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Naike in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Roberto Mechain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When mexicali's Humberto Mambru in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnaldo Naike in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paolo Dolcet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Humberto Mambru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Roberto Mechain managed to get in a good position for a shot. mexicali's supporters rose to their feet, but Roberto Mechain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paolo Dolcet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 89 played minutes Meseta AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Peru. In the 90th minute of the match Reynaldo Johans shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paolo Dolcet showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Humberto Mambru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paolo Dolcet. Meseta AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Mambru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3.
