Aguilares's Gaspar Cordarrel got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Aguilares's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Orkatz came free, but Reynaldo Cesaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Colazo FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gaspar Cordarrel made a kick off. With his leg Reynaldo Cesaro managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Colazo FC's Astor Goren fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ignacio Orkatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaspar Cordarrel charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Colazo FC booed when Aguilares was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. The audience was convinced that Ignacio Orkatz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reynaldo Cesaro was relentless in the 95th minute of the game.
