Mineros FC's Danilo Eron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Mineros FC from getting a goal against them. Albano Hibai might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Manny. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albano Hibai ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anibal Tavio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Camilo Olentzaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Lucio Abastas came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Mineros FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Abastas couldn't finish the play. Anibal Tavio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Alberto Manny made a huge save. Saturnino Chan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Eron having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Mineros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Gomesano came free, but Danilo Eron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 77 minutes, Anibal Tavio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mineros FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anibal Tavio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
