In the 14th minute Vicente Pepillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Baudelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cabituyo AFC's Alejo Baudelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Quinten in the 15th minute of play. Humberto Aballe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Gaskon in the 27th minute of play. With a little luck, Caminiaga FC's Humberto Aballe got control of the ball when Matias Rutenio tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Cabituyo AFC fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Cabituyo AFC's Victorio Calvino looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 36 minutes, Victorio Calvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabituyo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Victorio Calvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matias Rutenio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the game, Caminiaga FC's Alejandro Quinten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alejo Baudelio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Pepillo to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Caminiaga FC got a freekick which was hit by Robustiano Tirso. Caminiaga FC's Humberto Aballe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Rutenio in the 54th minute of play. Humberto Aballe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Calvino in the 55th minute of play. If Matias Rutenio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Gaskon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute Vicente Pepillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alejo Baudelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Rocio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Humberto Aballe. Caminiaga FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Moises Resto hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulises Lluques during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Caminiaga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulises Lluques to maneuver through the defense. Victorio Calvino struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Humberto Aballe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabituyo AFC. 90 minutes into the match, Victorio Calvino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Humberto Aballe. Caminiaga FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victorio Calvino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. A collision led to Caminiaga FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Maximo Maurin hit a great ball. Caminiaga FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
