But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cirilo Omero couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Malanzán AFC's Dionisio Diegotxe slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Filomeno Neto. That made the score 3-1 after 58 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Malanzán AFC's Cayetano Ishmael got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 69th match minute, CRUZ AZUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvio Araoz to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, CRUZ AZUL's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dionisio Diegotxe fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
