After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Jairo Nel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aguilas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jairo Nel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rene Eutropio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amado Osmundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vargas FC's Cipriano Eli in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rene Eutropio came out of the goal and Amado Osmundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rene Eutropio had great luck who in the 30thth minute grab hold of the ball when Amado Osmundo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Rene Eutropio stood somewhat misplaced when Amado Osmundo came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 32 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Osmundo in the 36th minute of play forced Vargas FC's goalkeeper Rene Eutropio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Amado Osmundo came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Aguilas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amado Osmundo couldn't finish the play. If Amado Osmundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Vargas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Nel came free, but Rene Eutropio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Aguilas FC's Jairo Nel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rene Eutropio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cipriano Eli to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Aguilas FC's Jairo Nel got a free kick in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amado Osmundo in the 65th minute of play forced Vargas FC's goalkeeper Rene Eutropio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anacleto Damario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislao Fertus having to interfere. Rene Eutropio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Fe, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 80th match minute, Vargas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amancio Ur to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the match, Vargas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Nel came free, but Rene Eutropio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Fe kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Cipriano Eli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vargas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Eli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ladislao Fertus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rene Eutropio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amado Osmundo in the 90th minute of play. After 91 minutes, Vinicio Amato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vargas FC and the Aguilas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vargas FC! In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for Aguilas FC. Omar Beila stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rene Eutropio. 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Vargas FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Aguilas FC.
