The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fernando Txaran to make the kick off. Navarro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fluminense fc the free kick. After 55 played minutes Navarro FC got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Moise. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Guillelmus struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Cosme Conrao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Navarro FC. Fluminense fc succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Navarro FC had controlled the match.
