Fabio Bras tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Querétaro FC's Hilario Evangelista ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabio Bras. Fabio Bras yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilario Evangelista in the 25th minute of play forced Yalapa's goalkeeper Fabio Bras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saul Natanael could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Fabio Bras made a huge save. In the 30thth minute of the game Hilario Evangelista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yalapa's Fabio Bras was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeremias Lia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Yalapa's Fabio Bras got control of the ball when Saul Natanael tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabio Bras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hilario Evangelista in the 37th minute of the match. If Saul Natanael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Yalapa's Fabio Bras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saul Natanael in the 53rd minute of play. Hilario Evangelista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saul Natanael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Bras having to interfere. In the 57th minute Hilario Evangelista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Bras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zacarias Valery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melchor Cordairo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Saul Natanael managed to get in a good position for a shot. Querétaro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Natanael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Bras breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Querétaro FC's Jeronimo Oriche was substituted for Saul Natanael. Querétaro FC made a substitution.
