No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Cordearo to make the kick off. Joel Solustiano kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Leonides Mendiko scored 2-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Atauri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Guanajuato's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Sanavirones FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
