The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Zacarias Victoro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nogolí's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zacarias Victoro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute, Freddy Lia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Ricart was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Justino Cresenciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Abel Ricart tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Pastor Gabon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nogolí's supporters rose to their feet, but Pastor Gabon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Patxi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Freddy Lia in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abel Ricart, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 33rd minute Justino Cresenciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Ricart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zacarias Victoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Corti AFC's zone, Romeo Felipillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Patxi came out of the goal and Romeo Felipillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corti AFC's Roberto Patxi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zacarias Victoro in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Zacarias Victoro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Pastor Gabon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Justino Cresenciano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aristides Ondino's late challenge caught a Corti AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristides Ondino helped the player get up and apologised. Aristides Ondino hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Abel Ricart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justino Cresenciano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Corti AFC booed when Nogolí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Felipillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Corti AFC's Justino Cresenciano in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Justino Cresenciano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Ricart having to interfere. If Zacarias Victoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the game, Bernardo Gaizkine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corti AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nogolí the free kick. Corti AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
