The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian James got free with Conrado Ralondo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 31 minutes TecH's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Romulo Reyes who took care of the corner kick. Conrado Ralondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Candido Evangelista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabian James fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Ralondo having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, TecH's Gaudencio Ponce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santiago Edwardo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 48 played minutes Cieneguila FC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Naelio. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Candido Evangelista to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, TecH's Jonathan Eliu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Santiago Edwardo. Santiago Edwardo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Fabian James received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Santiago Edwardo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejo Peli in the 62nd minute of the match. If Arnulfo Gitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Cieneguila FC's zone, Arnulfo Gitano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Edwardo came out of the goal and Arnulfo Gitano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Cieneguila FC's Santiago Edwardo got control of the ball when Arnulfo Gitano tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Arnulfo Gitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomero Naelio got his second yellow card in the match during the 78th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 78 played minutes Cieneguila FC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Naelio. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alejo Peli in the 79th managed to get into a good position. In the 92nd minute, Arnulfo Gitano made a precise shot to the right of Santiago Edwardo. Cieneguila FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Fabian James fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Ralondo having to interfere. Fabian James received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Conrado Ralondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. TecH walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
