With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacinto Piarres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hilario Abaunza in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnulfo Quexal saved Quilmes FC from getting behind. Hilario Abaunza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 minutes, Florencio Neto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quilmes FC and the Astor Fútbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th minute, one of Quilmes FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Quilmes FC. 21 minutes into the game, Amado Roderigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quilmes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astor Fútbol Club the free kick. A collision led to Quilmes FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Amado Roderigo hit a great ball. In the 29th minute, Silvano Chayo made a precise shot to the right of Jacinto Piarres. Astor Fútbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 32 minutes of play, Astor Fútbol Club's Bonifacio Ubarna made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnulfo Quexal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bonifacio Ubarna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Arnulfo Quexal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eustaquio Nalo kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Quilmes FC were awarded a corner in the 50th minute after Astor Fútbol Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Florencio Neto took the corner. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hilario Abaunza was the one to do the kick off. Hilario Abaunza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Arnulfo Quexal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnulfo Quexal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Abaunza in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Tiburcio Clis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bonifacio Ubarna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Arnulfo Quexal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvano Chayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Piarres having to interfere. With a little luck, Astor Fútbol Club's Jacinto Piarres got control of the ball when Silvano Chayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jacinto Piarres made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Silvano Chayo sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Quilmes FC's Amado Roderigo got a free kick in the 79th minute. Silvano Chayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Piarres having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilario Abaunza in the 87th minute of play forced Quilmes FC's goalkeeper Arnulfo Quexal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Quilmes FC booed when Astor Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romulo Miliano didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Astor Fútbol Club's Jacinto Piarres got control of the ball when Silvano Chayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnulfo Quexal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bonifacio Ubarna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Quilmes FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Astor Fútbol Club.
