Tijuana Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Sauveur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tadeo Osoro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Sauveur, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of Tijuana Stars booed when COMITAN FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Argina didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in COMITAN FC's zone, Jorge Sauveur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeo Osoro came out of the goal and Jorge Sauveur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Sauveur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilberto Ariando stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Clodoveo Liher came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Tijuana Stars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clodoveo Liher couldn't finish the play. Jorge Sauveur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isaac Abella hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. A collision led to COMITAN FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Isaac Abella hit a great ball. Marciano Maiorga charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marciano Maiorga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 90 minutes into the game, Clodoveo Liher was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tijuana Stars's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave COMITAN FC the free kick. The supporters of COMITAN FC booed when Tijuana Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Liher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Sauveur scored 3-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tadeo Osoro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Tijuana Stars players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
