A collision led to C.D. Quetzalcoatl getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Nunez Tiadoro hit a great ball. Arnulfo Mannie made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Laureano Belmiro sent off a good shot on target. Arnulfo Herena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.D. Quetzalcoatl's Arnulfo Herena got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliciano Abar to make the kick off. Quetzalcoatl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Ferran didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Lipeo's Luciano Galindo got control of the ball when Diego Eate tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnulfo Mannie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Abar, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Laureano Belmiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnulfo Mannie having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
