The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Confesor in the 6th minute of play forced Carnerito's goalkeeper Dario Rafel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Severiano Gelacio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Batán's Flavio Frasco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ciriaco Santos hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Dario Rafel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Lluques in the 26th minute of the match. Benjamin Confesor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Dario Rafel made a huge save. 32 minutes into the match, Carnerito's goal looked a bit too open when Feliciano Lluques came free, but Dario Rafel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin Confesor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Dario Rafel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Feliciano Lluques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severiano Gelacio to make the kick off. Severiano Gelacio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Carnerito's Eloy Cuartio got a free kick in the 55th minute. Dario Rafel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Lluques, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, Carnerito's Efrain Bittor got a free kick in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eloy Cuartio got free with Flavio Frasco in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Tomas Luzaide had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dario Rafel. Batán's supporters rose to their feet, but Feliciano Lluques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Rafel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Severiano Gelacio struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Flavio Frasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carnerito. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severiano Gelacio in the 79th minute of play forced Batán's goalkeeper Flavio Frasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Benjamin Confesor cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Dario Rafel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carnerito's goalkeeper Dario Rafel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carnerito's Dario Rafel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Lluques in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Carnerito players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Batán.
