Chivas United's Chrestian Vegenhoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Nafarroa in the 92nd minute of play. Angelo Naike fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Hermelando having to interfere. Chivas United played a much better game than Ojinaga Chihuahua and deserved their victory. The Ojinaga Chihuahua players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
