An unexpectedly hard shot by Rainer Quebbemann in the 13th minute of play forced Sempiterno FC's goalkeeper Cleto Mergildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guido Ixidor struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Cleto Mergildo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ROBBIE FOWLER. Guido Ixidor's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Cleto Mergildo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Felipe Abeita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantino Izotz having to interfere. The ROBBIE FOWLER fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when ROBBIE FOWLER's Rainer Quebbemann looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cleto Mergildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Ixidor in the 28th minute of play. With an all-out effort, ROBBIE FOWLER's Cleto Mergildo threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guido Ixidor, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 36 minutes, Craig Brady managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ROBBIE FOWLER's supporters crossed their fingers, but Craig Brady was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sempiterno FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Rainer Quebbemann scored to the left of an out of position Cleto Mergildo, making the score, 3-0. 47 minutes into the match, Sempiterno FC's goalkeeper Cleto Mergildo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guido Ixidor. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guido Ixidor was the one to do the kick off. ROBBIE FOWLER's Guido Ixidor got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Constantino Izotz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Abeita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Craig Brady shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Mergildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sempiterno FC's Victorino Kaxen got a free kick in the 66th minute. After 69 played minutes ROBBIE FOWLER got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Chan. Cleto Mergildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Diegotxe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute Guido Ixidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Mergildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Guido Ixidor put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cleto Mergildo. ROBBIE FOWLER's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
