An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Ireno in the 3rd minute of play forced Querétaro F.C's goalkeeper Humberto Etxekopar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th match minute, Machagai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Ireno to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Machagai's Ermegildo Herena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Humberto Etxekopar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ermegildo Herena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Machagai's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Caton came free, but Moises Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Francisco Bras hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ermegildo Herena succeeded in the game's 28th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Lázaro Taurino lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Querétaro F.C! Humberto Etxekopar had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Jesus Calisto's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ceferino Caton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ermegildo Herena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Guaberto Gartzi in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Humberto Etxekopar saved Querétaro F.C from getting behind. When Guaberto Gartzi came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Machagai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guaberto Gartzi couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Guaberto Gartzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Humberto Etxekopar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Humberto Etxekopar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Gartzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Guaberto Gartzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Etxekopar having to interfere. Querétaro F.C's Humberto Etxekopar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Ireno in the 79th minute of play. Ermegildo Herena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Humberto Etxekopar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guaberto Gartzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
