Spectators: 6676 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1676, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Pascual Hernandez got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the match, Ombucta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Froilan Iyan came free, but Candido Corderro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Alastuey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Olivar to maneuver through the defense. When Pascual Hernandez came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Ombucta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascual Hernandez couldn't finish the play. Pascual Hernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Miguel Olivar kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes, Ombucta FC's Teodoro Brion shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Urbano Celipe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ombucta FC reached it. Pascual Hernandez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Urbano Celipe having to make a save. Jorge Tulio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Candido Corderro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Pascual Hernandez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urbano Celipe was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Aquiles Senio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urbano Celipe having to interfere. If Jorge Tulio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Urbano Celipe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aquiles Senio went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 36 minutes, Jorge Tulio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alastuey FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Tulio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Ombucta FC's Candido Corderro got control of the ball when Jorge Tulio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teodoro Brion placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Jorge Tulio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 47th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After the first half Ombucta FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute Jorge Tulio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Corderro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ombucta FC's Saturnino Kiliz got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 59thth minute of the game Froilan Iyan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ombucta FC's Candido Corderro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute Pascual Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urbano Celipe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 minutes, Placido Toro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alastuey FC and the Ombucta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alastuey FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Urbano Celipe went to the wrong direction when Teodoro Brion was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 69 played minutes Ombucta FC got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Matia. Urbano Celipe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pascual Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Tulio in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Candido Corderro saved Ombucta FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Froilan Iyan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alastuey FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Froilan Iyan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Candido Corderro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Urbano Celipe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aquiles Senio in the 80th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquiles Senio got free with Urbano Celipe in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Tulio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Candido Corderro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Alastuey FC defense, Aquiles Senio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urbano Celipe. The Alastuey FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urbano Celipe should have stopped the shot. After 98 played minutes Alastuey FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Olivar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ombucta FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
