After 6 minutes, Leon Efren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Dogs and the Candonga players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Matias Poncio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Celedonio Ganix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Francho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Francho got free with Celedonio Ganix in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Candonga getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Matias Poncio hit a great ball. When Los Dogs's Ricardo Francho in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Candonga's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Los Dogs booed when Candonga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Poncio didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Francho in the 25th minute of play forced Candonga's goalkeeper Celedonio Ganix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 played minutes Candonga got a freekick which was hit by Matias Poncio. Celedonio Ganix showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Francho in the 38th minute of the match. Alberto Eguzki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Celedonio Ganix made a huge save. Celedonio Ganix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Francho, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Los Dogs's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Clodoveo Quilino in the 49th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Candonga's goalie and right to Leon Efren. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Candonga's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Francho to make the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Marcelino Chorche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candonga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelino Chorche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Arnulfo Pietro fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Dogs's protests and gave Arnulfo Pietro a yellow card for diving instead. Arnulfo Pietro hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Candonga's Celedonio Ganix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnulfo Pietro in the 59th minute of play. Celedonio Ganix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Francho in the 63rd minute of play. Ricardo Francho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Eguzki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Ganix having to interfere. Celedonio Ganix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Francho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Eguzki struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Celedonio Ganix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los Dogs. In the 95th minute Ricardo Francho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celedonio Ganix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celedonio Ganix came out of the goal in the 99th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Dogs's Ricardo Francho. But to his dismay, Ricardo Francho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Los Dogs were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Candonga for a fine match.
