In the 9th minute, Rene Guillelmo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marciano Salomon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baltasar Vistruario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Javiar having to interfere. In the 30th minute, German Lohitzun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st match minute, Arerunguá FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Oier to maneuver through the defense. Simon Liher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marciano Salomon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Baltasar Vistruario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Guillelmo in the 47th minute of play forced Cullen's goalkeeper Simon Liher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marciano Salomon to make the kick off. Marciano Salomon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Simon Liher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Arerunguá FC booed when Cullen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Silbestre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damian Javiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Vistruario, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute Marciano Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Liher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Marciano Salomon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltasar Vistruario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Arerunguá FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
