Palca's Tomas Umbruso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rosendo Ubarna in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Arnoldo Fertus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borussia Dortmund the free kick. Arnoldo Fertus hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Emiliano Satordi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Attili in the 17th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Israel Romo during the 18th minute. The audience was convinced that Rosendo Ubarna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomas Umbruso was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. When Palca's Armando Attili in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Borussia Dortmund's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Armando Attili to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Dario Loren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Satordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Armando Attili had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute, Armando Attili left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Armando Attili's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emiliano Satordi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
