In the 8thth minute of the game Melchor Mel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cololo's Filomeno Ignatius was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teofilo Ticho hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Melchor Mel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martin Montel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Ignado, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 17th minute, Gérald Triquet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nereo Ignado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Deportivo Delicias getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Fernan Mark hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Amílton Alcântara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filomeno Ignatius. Cololo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amílton Alcântara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amílton Alcântara in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filomeno Ignatius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amílton Alcântara stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amílton Alcântara was extremely unlucky when he, in the 51st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 53rd minute Nereo Ignado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Montel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Amílton Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martin Montel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Ignado in the 65th minute of play. Filomeno Ignatius made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Amílton Alcântara sent off a good shot on target. Aldo Urtsin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Filomeno Ignatius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amílton Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filomeno Ignatius having to interfere. If Amílton Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes Cololo got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Quinten. Martin Montel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Ignado, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute, Amílton Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 85 in the game by Amílton Alcântara from a close distance when the talented Filomeno Ignatius managed to make a qualified save. Cololo's players were relieved. In the 89th minute, Nereo Ignado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
