Ciro Blanco hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Remedios's zone, Atilano Oton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erubiel Gorbea came out of the goal and Atilano Oton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Aquilino Turi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erubiel Gorbea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 21st match minute, Cumorah FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albino Mendebal to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 23 minutes, Gogo Solustiano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Remedios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gogo Solustiano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Atilano Oton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Erubiel Gorbea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Vachon's late challenge caught a Cumorah FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquilino Turi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Erubiel Gorbea made a huge save. 36 minutes into the match, Cumorah FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Lluques came free, but Baldomero Teyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Remedios booed when Cumorah FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arsenio Madeo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gogo Solustiano came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Remedios fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gogo Solustiano couldn't finish the play. Baldomero Teyo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogo Solustiano in the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Baldomero Teyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gogo Solustiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Gogo Solustiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Teyo having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Arsenio Madeo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cumorah FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Remedios the free kick. In the 63rd match minute, Cumorah FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arsenio Madeo to maneuver through the defense. Cumorah FC's Baldomero Teyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Solustiano in the 69th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Remedios's Arturo Lluques sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baldomero Teyo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Gogo Solustiano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Baldomero Teyo, 2-1.
