Genaro Vito took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvio Rosio. Silvio Rosio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 18 minutes, Fausto Joanes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cortadera AFC and the Manantiales FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cortadera AFC! After a defensive mix-up in Cortadera AFC's zone, Serafino Esdras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Efren came out of the goal and Serafino Esdras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaudencio Efren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Esdras in the 25th minute of play. Jimeno Colon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Silvio Rosio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Leopoldo Laurendi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manantiales FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Laurendi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaudencio Efren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 31 played minutes Cortadera AFC got a freekick which was hit by Teodosio Romildo. Cortadera AFC's Gaudencio Efren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafino Esdras in the 33rd minute of play. Genaro Vito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Silvio Rosio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Genaro Vito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Manantiales FC defense, Jimeno Colon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvio Rosio. The Manantiales FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvio Rosio should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute Genaro Vito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Rosio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafino Esdras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Serafino Esdras made the kick off in the second half. Cortadera AFC's Genaro Vito got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jimeno Colon struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Silvio Rosio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cortadera AFC. In the 63rd minute, Genaro Vito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Silvio Rosio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Robustiano Lehen charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robustiano Lehen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
