Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lezama AFC's Zeledon Micael started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Jairo Vigil came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Lezama AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jairo Vigil couldn't finish the play. After having played for 8 minutes, Patricio Patrido managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vertientes AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Patrido was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jairo Vigil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Vigil got free with Israel Colas in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Lezama AFC's Jairo Vigil sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Israel Colas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19thth minute of the game Zeledon Micael who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vertientes AFC's Israel Colas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jairo Vigil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Israel Colas having to interfere. Israel Colas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeledon Micael's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. If Zeledon Micael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vertientes AFC's Israel Colas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Vertientes AFC from getting a goal against them. Zeledon Micael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Israel Colas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jairo Vigil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vertientes AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lezama AFC the free kick. Israel Colas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Micael, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The supporters of Vertientes AFC booed when Lezama AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Valery didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patricio Patrido got free with Ivan Ler in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jairo Vigil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Israel Colas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Godfredo Ofelio charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Godfredo Ofelio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Godfredo Ofelio hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute Zeledon Micael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Israel Colas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justo Tab during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Vertientes AFC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Remigio Froila hit a great ball. In the 69th minute of the match Eustaquio Cayo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Israel Colas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 70th minute, Humberto Miro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Fernan Librado fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lezama AFC's protests and gave Fernan Librado a yellow card for diving instead. After 79th play minutes Jairo Vigil shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Israel Colas and just under the crossbar into goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Vertientes AFC's Luisito Karlo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ivan Ler. That made the score 1-1 after 90 minutes of play. Patricio Patrido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ivan Ler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
