Spectators: 6689 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 0) Sebastian Calvet started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 7 minutes into the match, Niquivil AFC's Adrian Eneko broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Joaquin Dimo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Resistencia's goalkeeper Eulalio Ongile had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogelio Umea. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Niquivil AFC's goalkeeper Marcelino Argi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Armando Burni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelino Argi having to make a save. 21 minutes into the game, Mauro Uxio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Resistencia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Niquivil AFC the free kick. A collision led to Resistencia getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mauro Uxio hit a great ball. After 27 minutes of play, Resistencia's Joaquin Dimo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelino Argi was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th match minute, Resistencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Urre to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Armando Burni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Argi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquin Dimo in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelino Argi saved Niquivil AFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Burni in the 37th minute of play forced Niquivil AFC's goalkeeper Marcelino Argi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Burni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcelino Argi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Marcelino Argi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Dimo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 45 minutes Niquivil AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mauro Uxio who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Resistencia's Mauro Uxio to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcelino Argi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Resistencia getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Marcelino Justin hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Niquivil AFC's Eulalio Ongile threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sebastian Calvet, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Armando Burni to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcelino Argi made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Joaquin Dimo sent off a good shot on target. Resistencia's Armando Burni got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute Armando Burni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Argi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Niquivil AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Burni came free, but Marcelino Argi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Rogelio Umea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eulalio Ongile was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Marcelino Argi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Burni in the 82nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Burni in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelino Argi saved Niquivil AFC from getting behind. With a little luck, Niquivil AFC's Marcelino Argi got control of the ball when Joaquin Dimo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Armando Burni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Niquivil AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Resistencia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
