When Eustaquio Txurio came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Unanué fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eustaquio Txurio couldn't finish the play. Hugo Delfino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rosendo Efren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unanué's Rosendo Efren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Unanué from getting a goal against them. 27 minutes into the game, Unanué's Marciano Primo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hector Ekain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 31 played minutes, Cipolleti FC's Rene Esquipula shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rosendo Efren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cipolleti FC reached it. With his leg Rosendo Efren managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Cipolleti FC's Herminio Estavan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eustaquio Txurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the game, Tomás Mouricio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cipolleti FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unanué the free kick. The Cipolleti FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Unanué were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Eustaquio Txurio made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cipolleti FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Delmiro Pietro was slow to take the kick. During this time Unanué's players had a chance to rest. Herminio Estavan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Efren having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Unanué's Hector Ekain threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eustaquio Txurio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Adriana Regis hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Delfino in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rosendo Efren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eustaquio Txurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 73 played minutes Unanué got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Txurio. Rosendo Efren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Delfino in the 76th minute of the match. Victorino Valentine kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Eustaquio Txurio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Hector Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rosendo Efren came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Cipolleti FC's Hugo Delfino. But to his dismay, Hugo Delfino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 87th match minute, Cipolleti FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Mouricio to maneuver through the defense. Cipolleti FC's Hector Ekain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Cipolleti FC from getting a goal against them. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
