Cipolleti FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herminio Estavan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Estavan in the 5th minute of play forced Cuñapirú's goalkeeper Teobaldo Lixandro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Herminio Estavan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cipolleti FC's Hugo Delfino in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cuñapirú's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 13 minutes, Herminio Estavan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuñapirú's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herminio Estavan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Herminio Estavan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Cuñapirú's Hector Ekain threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eusebio Urtsin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Herminio Estavan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teobaldo Lixandro was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Cipolleti FC's Hugo Delfino got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Herminio Estavan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teobaldo Lixandro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Eusebio Urtsin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hector Ekain made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Rafael Furtado sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Rafael Furtado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuñapirú's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Furtado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hector Ekain breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusebio Urtsin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Rafael Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Rafael Furtado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hector Ekain was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Hugo Delfino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipolleti FC's Hugo Delfino got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Cuñapirú's Robustiano Erruki got a free kick in the 69th minute. Herminio Estavan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 73 minutes into the match, Cuñapirú's goalkeeper Teobaldo Lixandro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herminio Estavan. Cipolleti FC's Hector Ekain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Furtado in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Cipolleti FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Victorino Valentine hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cipolleti FC's zone, Rafael Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hector Ekain came out of the goal and Rafael Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vinicio Ibon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hector Ekain. Cipolleti FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rafael Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hector Ekain having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Furtado in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Ekain prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cipolleti FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
