Gastona's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesar Modestio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Virgilio Rencio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cesar Modestio made a kick off. Leonardo Chano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Honorio Joachim made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Ildefonso Oinaz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Honorio Joachim. That made the score 2-1 in the 58 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Obeko in the 84th minute of play forced Cadret's goalkeeper Virgilio Rencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Efrain Obeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gastona fully deserved thier win.
