Osvaldo Txerran came free with the goalkeeper in the 3rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alonzo Lando could save by the left post. Alonzo Lando made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Osvaldo Txerran sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Lagunita getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Delmiro Fortun hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Casimiro Urdin during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Recreo's Casimiro Urdin got a free kick in the 8th minute. Gerardo Iyan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Boniel in the 13th minute of the match. A collision led to Lagunita getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Delmiro Fortun hit a great ball. Alonzo Lando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Bikendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After a rather tough play, Lagunita's Delmiro Fortun got a free kick in the 19th minute. Nicolas Bikendi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Lando having to interfere. Recreo's Gerardo Iyan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Calvet in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Recreo booed when Lagunita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Fortun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolas Bikendi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lagunita's Alonzo Lando proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Lagunita from getting a goal against them. After having played for 39 minutes, Nicolas Bikendi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Recreo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicolas Bikendi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Txerran dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alonzo Lando, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anastasio Calvet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gerardo Iyan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anastasio Calvet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 52nd minute, Raimundo Gonza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anastasio Calvet got free with Gerardo Iyan in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alonzo Lando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Bikendi, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Recreo's zone, Anastasio Calvet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Iyan came out of the goal and Anastasio Calvet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62nd match minute, Recreo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Florin to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Osvaldo Txerran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alonzo Lando was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Alonzo Lando came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Recreo's Nicolas Bikendi. But to his dismay, Nicolas Bikendi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to Recreo getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Aurelio Kemen hit a great ball. Norberto Boniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Recreo's goal looked a bit too open when Anastasio Calvet came free, but Gerardo Iyan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Boniel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Gerardo Iyan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aurelio Kemen hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Recreo's Raimundo Gonza got a free kick in the 96th minute. Norberto Boniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Recreo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lagunita had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
