Nunez Xabel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Marcos Leoiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Leoiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silverio Rodas, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Nunez Xabel struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Marcos Leoiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Espartillar. Silverio Rodas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Leoiar having to interfere. The supporters of TIGRES booed when Espartillar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Benvide didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Toli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Placido Nabar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in TIGRES's zone, Silverio Rodas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Leoiar came out of the goal and Silverio Rodas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Nemesio Fonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silverio Rodas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Marcos Leoiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 47 minutes of play, Espartillar's Nunez Xabel made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Leoiar was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silverio Rodas was the one to do the kick off. After 63 played minutes, Espartillar's Jonatan Brion shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Leoiar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Espartillar reached it. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espartillar's goalkeeper Placido Nabar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st minute of the match Atilano Cristos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Placido Nabar skillfully saved the ball. When Espartillar's Silverio Rodas in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TIGRES's goalie prevented a goal. Jonatan Brion's late challenge caught a TIGRES's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonatan Brion helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes Reynaldo Unai shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Espartillar's Placido Nabar to catch but Reynaldo Unai was lucky. It became 1-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. If Fausto Toli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Placido Nabar successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Marcos Leoiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Rodas in the 98th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silverio Rodas in the 99th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcos Leoiar saved TIGRES from getting behind. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
