Jonathan Iigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Monteros AFC's Emanuel Erramun got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Edelmiro Marz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Victor Hori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If German Cordarrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Ruisko's late challenge caught a Monteros AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidro Ruisko helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Monteros AFC booed when Monteagudo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro Ruisko didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Edelmiro Marz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edelmiro Marz struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Victor Hori didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monteros AFC. Edelmiro Marz came free with the goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Victor Hori could save by the left post. Guillermo Orzaize received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Victor Hori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Monteros AFC's zone, Florencio Cuarto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arsenio Shepherd came out of the goal and Florencio Cuarto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guillermo Orzaize fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Hori having to interfere. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monteagudo FC's goalkeeper Victor Hori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erubiel Odilon made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Edelmiro Marz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victor Hori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillermo Orzaize in the 55th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Guillermo Orzaize managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monteros AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Orzaize was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Hori breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor Hori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Orzaize, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Erubiel Odilon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arsenio Shepherd. Erubiel Odilon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Florencio Cuarto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arsenio Shepherd having to make a save. 81 minutes into the match, Monteros AFC's goalkeeper Arsenio Shepherd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florencio Cuarto. Florencio Cuarto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Arsenio Shepherd made a huge save. Erubiel Odilon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Arsenio Shepherd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monteros AFC's Arsenio Shepherd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Monteros AFC from getting a goal against them. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Monteagudo FC! The referee gave Monteros AFC a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bruno Urtsua, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Monteagudo FC's Victor Hori. 2-1. Monteros AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Monteagudo FC for a fine match.
