Spectators: 6689 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 0) Adriana Loreto started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Freddy Navarro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Freddy Navarro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adriana Ortle took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Humberto Papo. Higuera AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Adriana Loreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Guaberto Itzaina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carmelo Galeno was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Carmelo Galeno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guaberto Itzaina in the 24th minute of play. Cevallos's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Guaberto Itzaina scored to the left of an out of position Carmelo Galeno, making the score, 1-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guaberto Itzaina made a kick off. With a little luck, Higuera AFC's Humberto Papo got control of the ball when Modesto Oriche tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Adriana Loreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cevallos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriana Loreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carmelo Galeno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guaberto Itzaina went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Higuera AFC's Humberto Papo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Higuera AFC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Modesto Oriche got free with Humberto Papo in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 69 minutes into the match, Cevallos's goal looked a bit too open when Guaberto Itzaina came free, but Carmelo Galeno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carmelo Galeno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Guaberto Itzaina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Higuera AFC booed when Cevallos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquilino Turi didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Adriana Loreto came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Cevallos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriana Loreto couldn't finish the play. Modesto Oriche could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Humberto Papo made a huge save. Higuera AFC's Humberto Papo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriana Loreto in the 87th minute of play. When Freddy Navarro fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Higuera AFC's protests and gave Freddy Navarro a yellow card for diving instead. Higuera AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
