But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erasmo Gamus couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute, Hilario Cruz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hilario Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute Hilario Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Flor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 minutes of play Teodelina FC's Froilan Miliano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 43rd minute, Froilan Miliano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th match minute, Teodelina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Erasmo Gamus made the kick off in the second half. Erasmo Gamus might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Flor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erasmo Gamus ran back to his position shaking his head. Erasmo Gamus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Benjamin Flor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Erasmo Gamus came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Teodelina FC fans jumped to their feet. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodosio Dalmu during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Teodelina FC booed when Monroe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Dalmu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Liher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erasmo Gamus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Benjamin Flor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Erasmo Gamus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafin Urdin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Although Teodelina FC had been in control for most of the match, Monroe still came away with the win.
