Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel Mark started the match with the kick off. If Leon Bixintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Lekubegi came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Villafañe's Leon Bixintxo. But to his dismay, Leon Bixintxo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute Edelmiro Vermudo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Lekubegi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Leon Bixintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Edelmiro Vermudo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edelmiro Vermudo in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roberto Lekubegi saved Ensenada from getting behind. In the 36th match minute, Ensenada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Mark to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute of the match Gervasio Machado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roberto Lekubegi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Leon Bixintxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Lekubegi having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leon Bixintxo to strike the kick off in the second half. Arnulfo Gonsalve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Vincente in the 53rd minute of the match. Roberto Lekubegi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Bixintxo in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of Villafañe booed when Ensenada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Dimo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edelmiro Vermudo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leon Bixintxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Villafañe's Leon Bixintxo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roberto Lekubegi. That made the score 0-2 after 64 minutes of play. Leon Bixintxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edelmiro Vermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the game, Villafañe's Leon Bixintxo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roberto Lekubegi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Edelmiro Vermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ensenada's zone, Leon Bixintxo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roberto Lekubegi came out of the goal and Leon Bixintxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Villafañe played a much better game than Ensenada and deserved their victory. The Ensenada players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
