Gonzalo Ihazintu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Luciano Bernabel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Angelino George struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Honorato Cordeal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pumahuasi FC. Luciano Bernabel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Ihazintu in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Gonzalo Ihazintu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luciano Bernabel. The goal made the score 1-3. With his leg Luciano Bernabel managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when ZACATEPEC's Gonzalo Ihazintu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gonzalo Ihazintu to strike the kick off in the second half. Federico Martxel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
