The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Udpimango AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pumahuasi FC the free kick. In the 95th minute Cristobal Dantae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Bernabel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cleto Chuan got free with Luciano Bernabel in the 99th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gregorio Oriche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 101st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Bernabel having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pumahuasi FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Udpimango AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
