Ranchos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chivas FC the free kick. Lorenzo Ferrer hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Mauro Endira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19thth minute of the game Domingo Matteo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ranchos's Eusebio Gaueko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th match minute, Chivas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Modestio to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingo Matteo in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusebio Gaueko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eusebio Gaueko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Matteo in the 25th minute of play. If Lorenzo Ferrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Chivas FC's Domingo Matteo in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ranchos's goalie prevented a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Domingo Matteo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eusebio Gaueko. Ranchos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domingo Matteo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 33 minutes into the match, Ranchos's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Matteo came free, but Eusebio Gaueko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Domingo Matteo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chivas FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The Chivas FC fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Chivas FC's Domingo Matteo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eusebio Gaueko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Matteo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Marcos Emmanuel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ranchos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chivas FC the free kick. Marcos Emmanuel kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Chivas FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Casimiro Dino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ariel Salvidor's late challenge caught a Chivas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ariel Salvidor helped the player get up and apologised. Ariel Salvidor hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 55th play minutes Domingo Matteo shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Eusebio Gaueko and just under the crossbar into goal. Domingo Matteo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roque Inocente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lorenzo Ferrer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chivas FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cleto Guillelmo was slow to take the kick. During this time Ranchos's players had a chance to rest. Tobias Henrico hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Elpidio Tuste fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chivas FC's protests and gave Elpidio Tuste a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chivas FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Elpidio Tuste hit a great ball. Eusebio Gaueko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingo Matteo's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Chivas FC's Mauro Endira got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Eusebio Gaueko successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Domingo Matteo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Eusebio Gaueko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chivas FC.
