The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 18 minutes into the match, Colmena's goalkeeper Guillermo Manni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Isusko. Guillermo Manni didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 19th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Cristian Pirro was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 41st match minute, Colmena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Pirro to maneuver through the defense. Guillermo Manni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquiles Innocenzio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aquiles Innocenzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustavo Isusko was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Colmena's Francisco Fidele got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Aquiles Innocenzio might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guillermo Manni. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aquiles Innocenzio ran back to his position shaking his head. Aquiles Innocenzio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guillermo Manni showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Isusko, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After some careless play in the Colmena defense, Melchor Lain kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guillermo Manni. The Colmena fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guillermo Manni should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Deer Team FC fully deserved thier win.
