Leonides Iraido didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 9th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Leonides Iraido came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Orense FC's Santo Fernendo. But to his dismay, Santo Fernendo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Leonides Iraido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paolo Odon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santo Fernendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Leonides Iraido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonides Iraido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santo Fernendo in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute, Orense FC's Paolo Odon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leonides Iraido. Leonides Iraido yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. In the 33rd minute of the match, Santo Fernendo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leonides Iraido was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 35 played minutes Real Provincia got a freekick which was hit by Victor Maties. Leonides Iraido made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Santo Fernendo sent off a good shot on target. If Aldo Confesor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aldo Confesor to make the kick off. Angelo Frechoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artemio Gaizko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Frechoso in the 60th minute. Artemio Gaizko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Confesor in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Paolo Odon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paolo Odon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Iraido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute Aldo Confesor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Gaizko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artemio Gaizko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Confesor in the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of Orense FC booed when Real Provincia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Monte didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Paolo Odon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orense FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Paolo Odon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Iraido having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Angelo Frechoso got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Americo Mincho's late challenge caught a Real Provincia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Americo Mincho helped the player get up and apologised. Orense FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
