Spectators: 6698 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1698, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Atahualpa's Octavio Ferman got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Gavino Pio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute, Gavino Pio made a precise shot to the right of Isidoro Sabin. Potrerillos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 20th minute of the match, Octavio Ferman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Isidoro Sabin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Senon in the 22nd minute of play forced Potrerillos FC's goalkeeper Isidoro Sabin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Potrerillos FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Nereo Rius hit a great ball. Isidoro Sabin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Santikurtz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gavino Pio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidoro Sabin was a little too slow when Baltasar Santikurtz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-0. 33 minutes into the match, Atahualpa's Gavino Pio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isidoro Sabin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Baltasar Santikurtz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidoro Sabin having to interfere. If Gavino Pio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Alberto Jurgi made the kick off in the second half. Isidoro Sabin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Santikurtz in the 51st minute of play.
