Ovidio Nataniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavino Pio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Ruperto Buinton made a huge save. Ruperto Buinton was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Baltasar Santikurtz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Baltasar Santikurtz really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dionisio Abadia couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Atahualpa players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
