After 18 minutes, Hernan Txilar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the REAL UNION and the Antuco players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, REAL UNION's Hernan Txilar got a free kick in the 19th minute. Jeremias Cordara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Rik in the 21st minute of play. Rodrigo Riks short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Jeremias Cordara to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 26 minutes into the match, REAL UNION's goal looked a bit too open when Dario Lizar came free, but Oscar Berdaitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodrigo Rik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 31 played minutes Antuco got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Oro. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Rodrigo Rik took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jeremias Cordara to make any attempt to save it. 42 minutes into the game, Donato Fidensio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Antuco's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave REAL UNION the free kick. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodrigo Rik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dario Lizar came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oscar Berdaitz could save by the left post. In the 63rd minute, Bernardino Cordarell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Berdaitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albano Orlanda's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Oscar Berdaitz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natalio Montel in the 69th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, REAL UNION's Hernan Txilar got a free kick in the 71st minute. REAL UNION's Oscar Berdaitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save REAL UNION from getting a goal against them. Jeremias Cordara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Rik, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Oscar Berdaitz was a little too slow when Albano Orlanda got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 87th minute. The score was now 1-3. Dario Lizar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Oscar Berdaitz firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 95 played minutes REAL UNION got a freekick which was hit by David Bermund. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Paulino Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Antuco's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Ihazintu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Berdaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
