Washington's Esteban Gurutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Eufemio in the 17th minute of play. Esteban Gurutz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anastasio Txema in the 19th minute of the match. Esteban Gurutz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Eufemio in the 20th minute of play. If Agustin Tolino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodeo FC's Patricio Oskitz got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Anastasio Txema notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Washington's Esteban Gurutz. Esteban Gurutz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Washington's Esteban Gurutz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Eufemio in the 31st minute of play. In the 37th minute, Agustin Tolino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Washington booed when Rodeo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustin Tolino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Abastas lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 41st minute, one of Rodeo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rodeo FC. When the match had been going on for 44 minutes, Washington's Daniel Tipi got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Camilo Leoncio. In the 48thth minute of the game Jose Eufemio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Washington's Esteban Gurutz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Isidoro Madaleno to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Lino Abel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Leoncio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Eufemio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Gurutz having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustin Tolino during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodeo FC's Patricio Oskitz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Esteban Gurutz. That made the score 4-4 after 75 minutes of play. Agustin Tolino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 85th minute Jose Eufemio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteban Gurutz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustin Tolino in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Esteban Gurutz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
