The coaching staff of Violetas protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Herminio Ferdinand had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Violetas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Verna AFC:s goal. Verna AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Violetas for a fine match.
