Spectators: 6689 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Freddy Garcia started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Maquinchao AFC's Freddy Garcia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Chano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Desiderio Toro fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maquinchao AFC's protests and gave Desiderio Toro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute Gilberto Valiente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Uhin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Martin Inge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Martin Inge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Chano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 12 minutes, Filomeno Dominic mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Maquinchao AFC and the Cardozo AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Filomeno Dominic hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute, Adriana Servando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Ruben Theobald was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cardozo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maquinchao AFC the free kick. Ruben Theobald kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Amador Gaufred's late challenge caught a Maquinchao AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amador Gaufred helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Amador Gaufred hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maquinchao AFC's Freddy Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute Julio Lopez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Uhin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rene Uhin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Valiente's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Cardozo AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Martin Inge scored to the left of an out of position Joaquin Chano, making the score, 2-0. After 32nd play minutes Gilberto Valiente shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Rene Uhin and just under the crossbar into goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aureliano Frechoso got free with Joaquin Chano in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martin Inge who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Chano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Cardozo AFC's zone, Freddy Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Chano came out of the goal and Freddy Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rene Uhin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Julio Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Uhin having to interfere. After having played for 44 minutes, Julio Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cardozo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julio Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Valiente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Julio Lopez to strike the kick off in the second half. If Gilberto Valiente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Martin Inge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Chano having to interfere. Joaquin Chano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Lopez struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Rene Uhin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardozo AFC. Joaquin Chano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddy Garcia's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Julio Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Uhin having to interfere. Julio Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rene Uhin made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Gilberto Valiente sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 99th minute, Martin Inge managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maquinchao AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Inge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Chano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Maquinchao AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cardozo AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
